Yamasee disaffection toward the English spread to the Lower Creeks
The disaffection spread west to the Creeks and other tribes. Here was Spain's chance and quickly she seized it. When the uprising occurred, Old Brimins, the Emperor of Caveta, called a council of the Lower Creek chiefs. They decided to make peace with the Spaniards. Englishmen among them were evicted, imprisoned, or slain. An embassy was sent to Pensacola.2
