Bienville arrived to help Pensacola during the attackedit

When Bienville appeared [at Pensacola] with relief, December 8 [1707], the remnant [attackers], thirteen Englishmen and three hundred and fifty Indians, had already retired. Bienville had acted with wonted energy.
