Gov Zuniga wrote the king that SA residents were begging him for food
Governor Zuniga complained in October, 1701, for example, that his colony was starving. Soldiers, their families, cripples, widows, and orphans were all begging him for food, which had become scarce in Saint Augustine. [Note: gov to king 10/24/1701]
