The king empowered SA's junta to choose situadistas
Under the law the junta had no real power or no official standing except in two cases. In 1702 the king empowered the junta to choose agents (situadistas) to go to New Spain to collect the yearly subsidy. [Note: Real cedula, Madrid, 3/8/1702]
