An Englishman said only Indians in SA remained under Spanish influence
In 1710 one Englishman boasted that no Spanish Indian town in Florida contained over 10 houses and that only the Indians who had sought refuge in the Florida capital remained under Spanish influence. [Note 12: gov to king 1/22/1710]
