SA residents's rations were reduced
In 1716 and 1717 it took 21 months to get the subsidy from Mexico to Florida. As a result the daily ration for residents of Saint Augustine was reduced to less than two pounds of flour. [Note: gov to king 6/22/1716; interim gov to king 11/22/1717]
