St. Augustine Transfer Company
Founded in 1877 by Louis and Mercede Colee, The St. Augustine Transfer Company's primary duty was to transport wealthy tourist and their luggage from the Florida East Coast Railway to Henry Flagler's luxury hotels, the Ponce de Leon and the Hotel Alcazar. Henry Flagler commisioned 8 custom carriages for The St. Augustine Transfer Company to ensure his guest receive high end service upon arrival.
