King Philip took back responsponsibility for choosing a gov for FLedit

In this case Don Dionisio appointed Francisco del Moral Sanchez, a conscientious infantryman who had risen through the ranks in Havana to become a captain. On the surface Moral seemed a good choice, but immediately after he took office in 1734, he turned most of the colony against him with his corrupt, arbitrary rule. This resulted in his dramatic ouster in 1737 and also prompted the king to return to the usual methods for choosing the governor. Hereafter the governor of Cuba picked only interim governors. [Note: Both Joseph de Justis (1737) and Fulgencio Garcia de Solis (1752-1755) were interim appointees of the governor of Cuba.] (Tepaske GSF)
