SA's officials sent a rep to Cumberland to monitor Indian exports
Export almorifazgo revenue came mostly the sassafras and peltry of the Georgia coast. Realizing that St. Augustine was not a convenient shipping point, the royal officials sent a representative to San Pedro (Cumberland Island) to record cargoes, collect the tax, and see that the Indians were not cheated.
