The FL situado had risen to 65,000 pesos
When he [Philip II] doubled the garrison in 1578, he increased the situado to 35,000 ducats (approximately 48,000 pesos). This amount slowly rose to 65,000 pesos by the middle of the 17th century until it reached approximately 100,000 pesos in 1700.
