The Demostracion Historiographica was dated just before that event [1742 campaign against GA], but the narrative terminates somewhat earlier, with the diplomatic contests in 1736-1737. It was written at the request of Guemes y Horcasitas, captain-general of Havana, who directed the Georgia expedition.
