An official draft of Arredondo's [1742] manuscript is in the Archivo General de Indias, at Seville, that great treasure-house of American history. It is in Esiante 86, Cajon 5, Legajo 24. It is a bound book, beautifully written in a large, swinging, but careful hand. The margins occupy half of the page throughout. There is another copy of the Demostracion Historiographica in the same archive in Esiante 87, Cajon 1, Legajo 3, Document 65.
