III, 197-236). Montiano aided the Spanish diplomats with documents at San Agustin bearing on the "right and title of Your Majesty to the colonies illegally occupied by the English." Among other things was a map based on the knowledge of persons acquainted with the coast (Go. Hist. Soc. Col, VII, Part III, 16-18. Savannah, 1913).] Indeed, she prepared to "reannex all that formerly belonged to the Spanish monarchy."
