Our story now soon ends. Two Gulf provinces, East and West Florida, were organized from England's new acquisitions.2 [Note 2 For plans for the administration of the new acquisitions, see Lee, Report of the Attorney General, 133-136; for the Proclamation of 1763, see MacDonald, Select Charters, 267. The next January, by Governor Wright's commission, Georgia's north and south boundaries were extended to the Mississippi. No. 467, (Washington, 1908).] East Florida was delimited on the north by the St. Marys River, and a line thence to the forks of the Apalachicola. The strip between the St. Marys and the Altamaha was added to Georgia. It was no longer Debatable Land.
