Not until January, 1711, was 'the affair of Mobile' once more made the extraordinary business of the assembly. Then for some weeks an attempt against the French was the subject of debates and conferences. The Commons House, though at first disposed to strike, again postponed the enterprise, at the same time pressing for reform of the Indian trading regulations. 74 [Note 74: JCHA, January 26, February 8,9, 10, 24, 1710/11]
