Francisco Navarro... recalled how it was that he had come to St. Augustine [in 1724] and soon married Gerónima [Rodr¡guez]. Like Gerónima’s father (the flirtatious sevillano),Francisco Navarro too was a native of southern Spain. He had served aboard ship and been wounded. (Parker RR)
