Eight months later two Spanish agents in the Lower Creek country reported that these Indians were far from loyal. Tsipacaya still seemed friendly, but old Brims proved hostile and angrily evicted the two agents from his domain. [Note 40: Apuntamiento para despachos en al Consejo, expediente sobre las hostilidades de los Ingleses y indios infieles de la Florida, 2/1/1727] His son had evidently come to Apalache with no other purpose than to use the Spanish desire for Indian friends to obtain muskets and rum.
