In 1735 Auxiliary Bishop Francisco de San Buenaventura ye Tejada arrived in Saint Augustine to set off a religious revival. One of its most tangible results was the number of gifts he elicited for reconstruction of the religious edifices, which were completed during his stay in Florida.
