From 1741 A True and Historical Narrative edited by Amy DURING these Transactions, Savannah decayed steadily. In August and September the same Year, people went away by Twenties in a Vessel. One would have thought the Place must have been entirely forsaken, for just in these two Months, about One Hundred Souls out of the County of Savannah left the Colony. Many others have since left it, and we believe more will leave it very soon.
