While the Spaniards seemed more successful during the early years of the French and Indian War, the vigorous activity of English traders throughout 1758 and 1759 weakened Spanish alliances with the Indians. By the fall of 1759 the unpredictable Uchizes and other Lower Creek tribes had once again shifted their allegiance to the Georgians and Carolinians. (Tepaske GSF)
