Hi there,
We’re reaching out to let you know that we’ve made a few updates to the Spotify for Creators Terms of Use as part of our ongoing efforts to provide transparency and clarity about your rights as a user of our service.
Here’s a summary of the key updates:
We’ve clarified which rights you and your team need to secure in order to distribute content on Spotify, including rights to use audiovisual material, images, literary works, sound recordings, and musical works.
Our advertising terms now cover additional forms of promotional content, such as embedded and/or dynamically-inserted ads.
To align with evolving regulations, we’ve updated our sections on data protection and export control provisions.
We’ve updated our dispute resolution provisions.
These updates will take effect on January 20, 2026 for existing users. There’s no action needed on your end. By continuing to use Spotify for Creators after January 20, 2026, you agree to the new Terms. As always, your ability to manage your show through Spotify for Creators remains the same.
