Looking ahead to tomorrow’s Global Issues Evening with David Brooks, we are pleased to share a few helpful details as you plan for the 7:00 p.m. presentation on Tuesday, February 17.
To accommodate the expected crowds, this gathering will take place at the UNF Arena, rather than the Adam W. Herbert University Center. Complimentary parking and shuttle will be provided in Lot 18. Please find directions below along with linked campus map.
We encourage you to allow ample time to arrive, park, board the shuttle, pass through security, and make your way into the Arena for seating.
Evening Schedule:
6:15 p.m. Arena doors open
7:00 p.m. Presentation
8:00 p.m. Conclusion of presentation

Parking: Complimentary parking will be provided in Lot 18, and a shuttle will transport you to the event.

Directions to Lot 18
From I‑295
From Beach Boulevard
At the FSCJ intersection, turn onto Central Parkway.
Follow the road and turn left at the UNF campus sign.
Lot 18 will be on your right.
From UNF Drive
From the I‑295 entrance: Turn left onto Eco Road, just past the UPD Police Building.
From the Kernan entrance: Turn right off Alumni Drive at the fountain onto UNF Drive.
Follow UNF Drive and turn right onto Varsity Lane (before Arena Building 34 and Garage 38).
Continue straight to Lot 18.
Doors Open
Doors to the Arena will open at 6:15 p.m.
Guest Drop-Off
Guests may drop off passengers at the curb directly in front of the Arena entrance, then proceed to Lot 18.
Arena Access
Upon entering the Arena, guests will proceed through security and continue straight ahead into the Arena for seating.
Guests with Mobility Needs / ADA Seating
Volunteers will be stationed in the lobby to assist and direct guests with mobility needs from the entrance to the designated ADA/special needs seating area inside the Arena.
ADA Parking
Guests utilizing ADA parking provided in Garage 38, 1st Floor (directly across from the Arena) do not need any special event credential—only your standard ADA parking permit.
ADA Parking: Garage 38, 1st Floor
From I‑295
Take the UNF / Town Center Pkwy exit.
Enter campus onto UNF Drive.
Continue straight through the traffic light.
Arena Parking Garage (Garage 38) will be on your right.
From Jacksonville Beaches
Take Atlantic Blvd or Beach Blvd west.
Turn left onto Kernan Blvd (south).
The UNF entrance (Alumni Drive) is 2 miles south of Beach Blvd, on the right.
Once on campus, turn right onto UNF Drive.
Arena Parking Garage (Garage 38) will be on your left.
