Dear South Ponte Vedra Beach Property Owner: On June 24, 1972 the SOUTH PONTE VEDRA ASSOCIATION was organized and the following officers were elected: President: Larry P. Picus (WOBS Radio) Treasurer: Egbert R. Heilman (Gulf Life) Membership Chairman North: Louie Dickinson (St. Aug. Schools) Vice President: Richard T. Oldenburg (WVOJ Radio) Secretary: Doris Wild (Interior Decorator) Membership Chairman South: Inna Heilman Everyone has worked very hard and in earnest to develop this organization so that we would have proper representation in all public affairs pertaining to our specific area. We are eager to encourage you to get in touch with Bert Heilman regarding your membership in the South Ponte Vedra Association. However, if you are aware of it and have attended the recent meeting and have no inquiries please send your $10.00 annual membership dues to the South Ponte Vedra Association c/o Bert Heilman Apt. 51 2260 University Boulevard North Jacksonville, Florida 32211. For your convenience a return envelope is enclosed. Your membership and voice in our organization may mean better police protection, better beach traffic control and other benefits from the St. Johns county officials that we are not now receiving. Soon there will be a budget meeting and Sheriff Dudley Garrett will be needing our support to secure sufficient funds to see that we are effectively protected. Your organization needs you. We have come so far and worked so hard to achieve our present position -- let's be sure we are represented in this all-important, upcoming budget meeting.
