SC referred to "the nations of Spanish Indians"
In 1682 the South Carolina Documents refer to "the nations of Spanish Indians, which they call Sapalla, Soho [Asaho], and Sapicbay," and from the identity of the first two it is probable that all were Guale tribes.2
