SC documents showed Kasihta on Ocheese Creek
South Carolina documents place this tribe [Kasihta] on Ocheese Creek in 1702, Ocheese Creek being an old name for the upper part of the Ocmulgee,4 and it seems probable from an examination of the Spanish documents that they were settled there as early as 1680-1685.
