Iberville estimated 400 Alabama families in two villages
In 1702 Iberville estimated that the Alabama Indians consisted of 400 families in two villages.10 This enumeration would, of course, not include the Tawasa, nor probably the Pawokti, but, on the other hand, may have embraced some Koasati.
