Bienville estimated 60 Mobile men remained
In 1725-26 Bienville states that the Mobile numbered only 60 men, the Big Tohome 60, and the Little Tohome—probably identical with the Naniaba—30, and he adds that within his own remembrance the former had counted 500 and the latter 300." This is difficult to reconcile with the statements made by his brother.
