First mention of Tamahita since 1674
For some years after the period of this narrative we hear not a word regarding the tribe, and when they reappear it is on the [1733] DeCrenay map as "Tamaitaux," on the east bank of the Chattahoochee above the Chiaha and nearly opposite a part of the Sawokli.1
