The governor of SC offered cash for Tuscarora scalpsedit

Rumors were also rampant that the English and their Indian allies were planning an invasion of Apalache and from here proposed to launch an attack on Saint Augustine. The only tribe the English had not won over in northwest Florida, claimed Moral, was the Tuscaroras; and to bring this tribe into line, the governor of South Carolina had offered 50 pesos for each Tuscarora scalp brought into Charleston.
